The Story Behind The Artwork
The design brings together eighteenth- and nineteenth-century artwork depicting symbols of good luck: a gold wishbone from a Victorian postcard, a coin design from 1840, an evening star, and a 1755 painting of a dandelion waiting to be wished on.
The banners reading “Make a wish with me, the best is yet to be” and “Best Wishes” are adapted from an 1880s lithograph. Lilacs and spring flowers complete the design, representing hope and renewal. These details are part of the printed artwork.
