The flowing maxi silhouette is made from soft 100% viscose derived from plant fibers such as wood and bamboo. The fabric is lightweight and slightly sheer, so we recommend pairing it with a full or half slip.
The story behind the print
Twice each year, the world pauses in perfect balance, with light and darkness sharing the sky. Inspired by the equinox, this design celebrates the many selves we carry: strong and soft, grounded and full of wonder.
At the heart of the print is Alexandre Cabanel’s luminous 1873 painting Pandora, reimagined through collage. Instead of the box she is so often shown carrying, Pandora cradles a simple nest, transforming the story into one of hope. Behind her, the sweeping wings of a white swan become her own, while its graceful neck crosses before her face until the two share a single eye.
Fresh apple blossoms, tender spring leaves, and botanicals adapted from antique hand-painted illustrations surround the artwork. The nest comes from an 1847 painting by William Henry Hunt, drifting swan feathers add a dreamlike touch, and elegant green trim draws from a French silk twill wall panel dating to 1785.
