Bella Notte Bohemian Scarf
Soft viscose and vintage-inspired artwork make the Bella Notte scarf by Market of Stars an expressive finishing touch for everyday outfits. Modeled after the size and weight of favorite vintage French scarves, it has a lighter, airier feel than the brand’s kimonos while keeping the same beautifully soft touch.
The Story Behind The Artwork
Meaning “Beautiful Night,” Bella Notte is a dramatic tribute to artistry and beauty. The seated woman among the trees, with her dreamy, faraway gaze, comes from an 1880 painting by artist and poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti. The rabbit is drawn from an earlier painting dating to 1585.
The open book at the bottom of the design reads, “Many are the stars I see, yet in my eye no star like thee.” These words were taken from an engraving inside a gold ring made in the 1700s.
